Centred on Loch Lomond, the largest lake in Britain, this national park extends to 720 square miles (1865 sq km). A target for every kind of water sport there is something for everyone on the water, from kayaking to cruising on a historic steamship. To the east of the waters of Loch Lomond are the Trossachs, a beautiful area of hills, forests, lochs and villages that have inspired writers and painters for generations. There are 21 Munros within the Park including Ben Lomond and The Cobbler that attract many hikers, while the West Highland Way long distance walking path passes through the Park.
