Milk Tray is a brand of boxed chocolates manufactured by Cadbury. It was introduced by the company into the UK in 1915 and is one of the longest running brands in its portfolio. The name 'Tray' was derived from the way in which the chocolates were originally delivered to the shops. This was done in five and a half pound boxes, arranged on trays from which they were sold loose to customers. From 1968 to 2003, the chocolate was advertised by the 'Milk Tray Man'. A man dressed all in black who would undergo daring exploits in order to deliver a lady a box of Milk Tray. The tagline being '. . . and all because the lady loves Milk Tray'.
