The Kit Kat bar is a multi-layered wafer, separated into either two or four fingers, and covered in chocolate. The Kit Kat was first marketed in the 1935 by Rowntree of York. The slogan 'have a break, have a Kit Kat' used to promote the product is still in use today, decades after it was first coined. The traditional Kit Kat was made with milk chocolate but it is now available in several other variations including dark chocolate as well as a chunky version. The original foil wrapping with an outer sleeve was replaced with a single wrapper in 2001.
