The Caledonian Sleeper is the name for overnight train services between London Euston station and five destinations in Scotland. Trains run six nights a week with two departures from London and split to serve the final destination routes. The earlier departure, the Highland Route, serves Aberdeen, Fort William and Inverness. The later departure, the Lowland Route, serves Edinburgh and Glasgow. The London to Fort William route is described as one of the most scenic and spectacular journeys in the country, travelling through heather moors close to the famous Glenfinnian Viaduct.
