The Bridgewater Hall is Manchester's international concert venue seating nearly 2400 people. Opened in 1996 the Hall was a prestigious flagship for Manchester's overall regeneration and a symbol of its artistic strength. It hosts a wide range of classical music, rock, pop, jazz and world music performances and is home to three resident orchestras: the Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata. The Hall's construction from solid reinforced concrete floating on bearings, creates the ideal acoustic environment and is protected from all outside noise and vibration.
