Christmas Day on 25th December is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmastide lasts twelve days ending on Twelfth Night. Christmas Day is a public holiday. The celebratory customs come from many different origins and include gift giving, Advent calendars, Christmas music and caroling, exchanging Christmas cards, church services, a special meal, and Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees, Christmas lights, nativity scenes, garlands, wreaths, mistletoe and holly. Santa Claus or Father Christmas, delivers gifts to children if they have been good!
