Christmas Day on 25th December is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmastide lasts twelve days ending on Twelfth Night. Christmas Day is a public holiday. The celebratory customs come from many different origins and include gift giving, Advent calendars, Christmas music and caroling, exchanging Christmas cards, church services, a special meal, and Christmas decorations, including Christmas trees, Christmas lights, nativity scenes, garlands, wreaths, mistletoe and holly.
