Chesters is a fort on Hadrian's Wall near the village of Walwick, Northumberland. It was built in 123 AD, just after the wall's completion at the northern extent of the Roman Empire and is considered to be the best preserved Roman cavalry fort along Hadrian's Wall. The baths, steam room and officers' quarters are all apparent and visitors can walk around them. The site is now preserved by English Heritage and there is a museum on the site with a collection of Roman objects from the fort and along the wall.
